Many of you may be very familiar with me as a Tenterden town councillor, which I have been for some eight years now. I have also been looking after Tenterden North ward at borough level on behalf of Councillor Paul Clokie, who due to illness sadly isn’t standing again.
I’m seeking your vote on 4 May to serve as your local conservative borough representative for Tenterden North. I have served as borough councillor in Weald North for the past four years, during which time I’ve held two deputy portfolio positions. I have good experience of effective local government and I am very much looking forward to being able to represent you in Tenterden North.
I have lived in St Michaels Tenterden for 28 years with my wife Lorna. I have a son and daughter and two grandchildren. I spent the last 12 years of my career as environmental manager for Brakes in Ashford.
Outside of council, I have been honoured to chair our local village hall trustees committee for 15 years, during which time we have raised over £250.000 towards refurbishment and extension. and I belong to and support the Tenterden branch of the British Legion.
